This short Animation was made by me for my school final project at Vancouver Film School.

The very first time I held the book “Where the wild things are?” by Maurice Sendak, the idea of this story came to my mind. The main character, “Max”, reminded me of my own childhood, when I used to daydream frequently. The idea of the environment, specially the hidden city in the sky came from Italo Calvino’s novel book “Invisible City”, which made me imagine a world beyond the usual.

I worked diligently to create a visually pleasant atmosphere that would make my audience feel like they’re observing a moving Illustrated book.

This short Animation has been officially selected in some festivals and also selected as the award winner and honourable mentioned in two International festivals.

I’m glad my work has been screened in several countries for animation lovers.

You can find more visual process of this project in Vis-Dev section of the portfolio.
